For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, and all were made to drink of one Spirit. 1Corinthians 12:12,13

One Family, One Spirit, One Lord

We thank God who has redeemed us from the bondage of sin and called us into His marvelous light. He not only saved us but also brought us together as one family—that is what we call the Church.

The True Meaning of the Church

The Church is not a building made of bricks and mortar. It is the gathering of people who have received salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. These people are joined together with one heart—not a heart of the flesh, but a heart renewed by God. When they come together, it is the Word of God that leads them, strengthens them, and empowers them to do exploits. And after all achievements, they give all the glory back to God who works in them (1 Chronicles 29:14–16).

Life After Receiving Salvation

Many believers wrestle with the question: “Now that I am saved, how should I live?”
The answer lies in the Scriptures. From the moment you first heard the Gospel and believed, you were eternally forgiven (Hebrews 10:17). This forgiveness is not partial or temporary—it is complete and everlasting.
Yet God does not simply forgive us and leave us as we are. He calls us to live by His Word daily. The Word is not only for knowledge but for transformation. As we believe and obey, it empowers us to live lives that are pleasing to Him.

Living by Faith, Not by Works

We must be careful not to fall into the trap of thinking that our good works or human efforts make God accept us. The truth is clear: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6). Our relationship with Him is sustained by faith, not by self-effort.
The Apostle Paul explained it beautifully:
“The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing.” (Galatians 2:20–21).
This means everything we do as Christians—whether serving, giving, or loving—must flow out of faith in Jesus Christ. It is His life in us that produces fruit, not our human strength.

God’s Work vs. Our Work

Job 35:8 reminds us that our righteousness or self-effort adds nothing to God. What pleases Him is when we yield ourselves to His Spirit and allow Christ to live through us. We must clearly separate what is of God and what comes from our own flesh.

A Word to the Confused
To anyone who still has questions about what happens after salvation: know this—your eternal destiny is secure in Christ. The cross was enough. Your part is to walk daily by faith, feed on the Word, and trust God to shape your life. As you do, you will experience the joy and power of a life surrendered to Him.

The Christian journey is not about what we can do for God but about what God does through us when we believe. Salvation unites us as one body, empowers us to live by faith, and leads us to glorify Him in everything.
Let us hold firmly to this truth: we are saved by grace, kept by faith, and used by God for His glory.
